Cookie policy: this site sets no cookies

boricen.online stores nothing on your device. No cookies are set, no analytics or advertising tags are loaded, nothing is written to local storage, session storage or IndexedDB, and no resource is requested from any other domain. This page explains what that means and how to check it for yourself.

What we do not use

  • No cookies of any kind — not first-party, not third-party, not "strictly necessary". The server sends no Set-Cookie header.
  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Matomo, no server-side analytics product.
  • No advertising or conversion pixels. No Meta pixel, no Microsoft UET tag, no Google Ads remarketing tag.
  • No fingerprinting. We do not read your fonts, canvas, screen configuration or hardware characteristics.
  • No browser storage. The one small script on the site scrolls the page smoothly and adjusts link attributes; it writes nothing to localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB.
  • No third-party requests. Fonts are the ones already on your system; the stylesheet, the script and every illustration are served from this domain. Nothing is fetched from a CDN, a font host or an image host.

Why there is no consent banner

Under the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC as amended), as implemented in Czech law, consent is required before information is stored on or read from a user's terminal equipment, unless that storage is strictly necessary to deliver a service the user asked for. We store nothing and read nothing. There is therefore nothing to consent to, and a banner asking you to accept cookies that do not exist would be misleading rather than protective.

This also means there is no "reject all" button to look for, no preference to save, and no consent record — saving a consent choice would itself require storing something on your device.

How to verify this yourself

Do not take our word for it. In any modern desktop browser:

  1. Press F12 (or Ctrl+Shift+I, or Cmd+Option+I on a Mac) to open the developer tools.
  2. Open the Network tab and reload the page with Ctrl+F5. Every entry in the list should have boricen.online as its domain. There should be no request to any other host.
  3. Click the request for the page itself and look at Response Headers. There is no Set-Cookie header.
  4. Open the Application tab in Chrome or Edge, or Storage in Firefox. Under Cookies you will find no entry for this site; Local Storage, Session Storage and IndexedDB are empty.

On the command line, curl -I https://boricen.online/ shows the response headers of the home page, with no Set-Cookie among them.

What the server does record

Technical access logs — IP address, time, requested URL, status code, user agent — are written by the web server, kept for fourteen days and used only to keep the site running and secure. That is processing of personal data, and it is described in full in the privacy policy. It is not cookies, and it does not follow you anywhere.

Links to other sites

If you follow a link from here to another website, including an advertising partner link, that site is outside our control and will have its own cookie practices — most commercial sites do set cookies. The rules described on this page apply to boricen.online only.

If this ever changes

If we ever introduce anything that stores or reads data on your device, we will ask for your consent before it runs, and this page will be rewritten to describe it. Until then, this statement is the complete description of our practice.
